Before getting into real estate, I worked as a middle school math teacher and coach for over 20 years. While I absolutely loved my teaching career, my plan had always been to become a REALTOR®. I knew a lot of fellow teachers that transitioned to real estate and utilized their guidance to steer my life down this path.
As a teacher, I developed very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, conflict resolution, communication, and need-identification skills. I’ve found that all of these come in handy as a REALTOR® and I am able to expertly serve my clients no matter what situation arises. When coaching, you have to be able to analyze each player’s strengths and weaknesses in order to develop the best plays and most beneficial outcome. The same goes for real estate. I spend a lot of time analyzing the current market and comparing the data to my clients’ unique goals so that I can tailor the process to fit their needs and help them successfully buy or sell.
Education is very important to me and I make it a priority to not only educate my clients on the transaction process, but to ensure that I am staying up-to-date on the latest trends, marketing tools, and industry practices. I believe that you can always learn something new and rely on my team to help elevate my service so I can better serve my clients.
Above all else, the thing I love the most about real estate is helping others! Service-based careers have always been my passion and moving from teaching to real estate has been a great joy. Making someone’s dreams come true is so humbling and rewarding, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!
